Gopi Jayaprakash

Gopi grew up in Tamil Nadu, a southern state in India and later moved to the U.S. to pursue his higher education and career in Engineering. He currently resides in Washington D.C., with his wife Vybhavi, an Economist. Gopi is an avid movie watcher, with a particular interest in documentaries focusing on current issues across the world. He has worked on numerous short films and dabbled with documentary filmmaking. Living in Washington D.C., the heart of policy making and advocacy, and traveling to countries of different socioeconomic backgrounds gives Gopi a unique vantage point on identifying trends that connect the world. His firsthand experience with the issues combined with a deep desire to educate the viewers led him to start working as a documentary filmmaker.

Alberto Rodriguez Serrano

Sound Engineer

Alberto Rodriguez Serrano is a Sound and Light Engineer who has extensive experience in live sound and recording studio, with an expertise in flamenco sonorization. In 2008, he founded "La Mota Recording", an independent record label in Granada, Spain. Alberto designed, engineered, and built "La Mota Recording" studio where he has collaborated with multitude of artists across the world.  He currently resides in Washington D.C., and actively does sound staging for TorcuArt, a non-profit dedicated to promote flamenco culture in the DMV area. 

Ajith Mekala

Field Intern & Assistant Director 

Ajith is a former physics graduate who later pivoted to media studies to explore his interests in art films and filmmaking. He pursued a Master’s degree in Communications and Visual Media to help tell stories that would raise awareness on social issues in India. As an avid movie enthusiast, he recognizes the immense potential that films have in evoking emotions and challenging perspectives. He has made numerous short films on the topics of drug addiction and respecting public goods. His work as an A.D. and field reporter in India will help educate the viewers regarding the efforts taken by various anti-corruption agencies to increase compliance.
